  1. Thanks a lot, dude! As for the wheels; I bought those directly from Watanabe RS in Japan. It was about a 5 month process for me to get those wheels - from my initial inquiry, until they finally arrived at my door.
  2. Haha, I was grinnin' like that last night. That's more useful than you think. As much as I'm building this car around my own personal tastes and likes, it feels great to know that people are in to what I'm building. Thank-you! :)
  3. Made my turbo inlet this evening. Incredibly conducive for full frontal cold air.
  4. Most of you will skip these next few pictures and skip to the bottom. I would, anyways. Aaron dropped off the shifter plate spacer he milled for me. Fucking awesome - shifter is sosososo good now! Seat's all bolted in where it needs to be. If you crouch down it looks hilarious.
  5. This is Liams 1JZ-powered A31 Cefiro - he's the other half of Dorimoto/ Odd Couple. We've built our cars in tandem this winter, from two different cities. Kit's going in for paint this weekend, and all he has left to do is re-install the dash. Shit is mind-blowing in real life, and yes - this IS the permanent ride height.
  6. Haha, the sidewalls were too stiff to let themselves be blown on MY 15x10J's! That's why I put the 205/50 Star Specs on the 9.5J's. $200 plus shipping and the 195/50's are yours, brother!
  7. I'm waiting on studs, and rear tires. Be patient!
  8. Picked up my BOV from a friends shop. Got the last couplers I needed for my turbo inlet. And, picked up everything I was lacking for my fuel system. Except, returning that stainless line for the black Kevlar-braided line, as there was a mix-up. Rear tires should come in early next week. WHICH MEANS I CAN FINALLY PUT MY CAR ON THE GROUND! :D
  9. Okay, I got some cool shit done/ purchased today.
  10. Trust, dog. If all goes well on Thursday, the car will be set on the ground for the first time in 16 months. If not, then I'll have to wait another week for two more tires. *Edit* Caved in to my own stress-case of a mind. Instead of dealing with the fuckery of blowing on a stretch like that, I've decided to get the 205/50's put on the 9.5J's tomorrow, and I've ordered another two tires. Waiting on the BFG G-Forces to arrive to put on the 10J's. 215/50's, to make it a little less aggressive, and not nearly as tough a sidewall as the Star Specs. Kind of bummed to not have those super awesome tires in the back, but I'll get over it... Maybe. :(
  11. Finally, they're all here. These were hidden behind a bush at my house when I got home. Awesome.
  12. Thanks so much, Jun. If you make 'em, I'd love to put them on the Z!
  13. Bought these to make the 9.5J's 10mm more aggressive. Pressed out the old shit in preparation for the new.
  14. Another piece to the fuel puzzle. Got my rear wing on, also.
  15. My friends wheels arrived on the same sea can that my Wat's did. These are for his KP61 Starlet. 13x8J -25, and 13x7.5J -25 - they make my 15's look huge, haha.
  16. Did what I could for smoothing out those panels, too.
  17. A friend of mine dropped off my harness bar from powdercoating last night. He rules, and it matches my steering wheel like butter!
  18. We'll see how she goes - but, it looked good on the wheel I had originally mocked up. I'll run with it, anywho.
  19. Haha, I'm excited! Just ordered 205/50's for the 10J's, and 195/50's for the 9.5J's. Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs.
  20. I really appreciate the kind words, Fisch!
  21. Things looks massive with the fenders off. Also, the other night I welded up all the holes in the panels. Got around to cheesin' all the markers holes, antenna hole, and hatch holes last night.
  22. These are the rear wheels on the front - the actual front wheels will poke 1/4" less. Had to test them on the front, as the rear subframe wasn't in.
  23. Picked up one of two lovely boxes this evening at the post office. The two 10J's, and my harmonic balancer.
