  1. Not too much to add but today I took some kroil to the heater valve and worked it back and forth to keep it from freezing up not to mention the knob has some cracks in it. I also scrapped the foam off the bottom defrost flap and added some new foam.
  2. It reaches almost 16 volts thats gotta be over charging right? I think I already checked the motor and chassis ground but I'll check again.
  3. Dash back in with a fm radio. The bay cleaned up fairly nice.
  4. I have the same problem. But my power comes back on before I can diagnose it or even get out of the damn truck. As far as the blinker on the cluster being dim it's a ground problem. There is a rivet or 2 for the cluster turn signal bulb socket that gets oxidized/corroded. I'll try to find a pic for you. The blinker problem is unrelated.
  5. Green, blue or red  hmmm green and blue have already attended so maybe its reds turn.
  6. datsunaholic knows about this knob. http://community.rat...h__1#entry56507 Maybe my black hazard knob noted in the pic above is rare. It is the only one I've seen.
  7. Choke difference for reference on the far right.
  8. Yes, I have the red knob in my headlight switch pile and use them on my headlight switches but they really are a 520 hazard knob. wayno do you have any of these? I'd be slightly tempted to trade you one for one of your uber rare 520 glove box knobs. :)
  9. That is a 521 flasher knob. Look in this pic and the 2nd to last is the 520 style. At some point they started using the red light symbol for the emergency flasher, maybe they used it first and the went to the black style that we are used to. I would like to look in some 520 owners manuals but every time I bid on one I get outbid. More reference here is the light switch difference heater fan difference wiper difference
  10. green was for 521's and yellow was 520's. Just for reference. 521 Green with trim. 520 yellowish no trim Also the 520 had metal speedometer gears while the 521 had plastic ones.
  11. oldskoolvws if you are not interested I need to know that too.
  12. If you look in the black and white owners manual photos it was only mounted in the hazard location of the 520 which they used the same pics for the 521 manual. Black and white photo equals a slightly lighter knob that is the red one. The graphics on the knob itself are of the 520 style. I think the graphic style change for all the knobs was in 68 or maybe 69. I have personally pulled 2 out of 520's from the hazard switch. But yeah it's confused a few people including myself.
