  1. hey guys, so i went to drive my truck about 2 minutes ago. started up and noticed dash lights not working. checked all the lights, and found the tail lights and brake lights not to be working either. i just scrubbed the engine bay down rea good a couple days ago. i did check all fuses and cleaned them, i dont have any here to replace them with or i would do so, maybe i will go get some new ones just to be safe and not oover look simple mistakes. anythink else obvious to look for?
  2. hey, just so you know, that rptor muffler probably wont last you too long. i have had a few, and they always bow out fast and sound like shit. even my cheap thrush turbo muff blew out within a month. its rattling internally real bad. thats with a l20. couldne imagin that with a ka!!! is that think pretty loud?

    you "should" be able to take the hose off and take it to napa or another parts store that makes hoses. they should be able to make you the exact same thing

  6. oh i thought you have seen it. lol might give me reason to snap some quick pics then lol i bought it for 200 bux. it ran like shit, and did not drive. took motor out, went crazy on summitracing.com and spent well over 1500 bux. talking wiseco pistone, comp cam, edelbrock carb and intake setup. thw whole 9 yards. parts get here, and there the bearings and pistons are wrong. they sent me factory sized pistons, when i stated .60 over. also the bearings were for a newer series, so they are wrong. i got pretty discouraged. i called them and they said they would trade them all back. so i think i am just going to put a pair of cheap stock pistone in and bearings. send the spendy pistons back. so just a slight cam and intake and carb. its got a small stall convertor in it too. i think about 1300rpm. so that was well over 6 months ago, and i keep forgetting to send them back. i really ned to get this done though, it would be a fun truck.

  9. washed the mazda project for first time since i bought it. its been stored in my garage for over a year untouched. i even waxed it. looks much better then i expected. needs a paint job though.

  12. you should also get your hands on a can/am box for your swap. it would help a lot. maybe do a painless wiring harness, with the can/am box, and some racecar style relay and fuse box things from summit racing or jegs. then you could put it all in one spot, and it would be done proberly
  13. so theres a few pics of window. YES, it does have a horrible tint job on it. YES it does have over spray on it. Yes it is used, origional, and dirty. YES, I WILL SHIP NO, i do not see any big scratches. i do have some other parts for this car tail light lenses, decent condition, all 4 marker lenses , the 2 front blinker lenses, all sespension, all side glass good condition, cowl, door handles, locking gas door, steering column, steering gear box. engine cross member. door sils, most of the heater assembly, front valance rusty and pitted, but pretty straight. nice for a true ratsun, or maybe for making a mold?

  19. i have a 71 521. po installed an l20. along with the matching carb/intake and exhaust. the intake mani and exhaust mani are old enough to where they are not mated to gether, but the exhaust manifold does have all the emissions tubes coming off it. i swapped intake and exhaust manifolds back to an l16 setup, but kept the newer design carb as it has an electric choke, and an idle cut off solenoid. it also has one other wire coming off it. they were al twisted to gether and given 12 volts. everything worked flawlessly. i switch to a weber and am now back to this set up. what i would like to know, is: does he have these wires correct? are they all supposed to get 12 volts all the time? do you know what this carb is?
  20. hey guys, i'd like to see what others are doing for radios in these 521's. i do not have one at all, and would like to have something to listen to on my daily drives to and from work. would like it to look of the era. weather that means actually working, or just putting a factory one there, with a good radio/cd player under the seat or in glove box. lets see some options! i have no pics, mine came with a clarion 8trax
