  1. Forgot to mention that the 7/8" mc came out of a 200sx that was disk/disk
  2. I'm running zx front brakes and a H-165 disk rear end with the stock 13/16" mc and it's working just fine. I did get a 7/8" mc for the disk/disk proportioning valve though and just installed the rear one. I was pretty much just copying what the 510/620 guys have done.
  3. I tried to drop a H-165 behind my A15 with a 5 speed and the drive line was too long. Fyi.
  4. I talked to him although I can't remember his name. He said he bought that window in the late 80's and they're NLA. Very kool tho!
  5. Glad to see this car made it into the hands of someone who can fix it.
  6. I really want to know how well that brake mc setup will work!
  7. By the looks of that front marker light I'd say it was a 1970.
  8. Where is your pump mounted? I've got mine mounted after the filter in the engine bay and under hard acceleration the pump suckes the filter dry and it takes a few seconds for it to catch back up. I need to mount it back closer to the tank so it pushes through the whole system. Just my 2 cents.
  9. So I was "playing" with a Honda on a twisty road on my way home today and forgot the wife's Xmas presents were still in the trunk. Oops!

  10. Yeah you unbolt the ball joint from the bottom of the zx housing and just use the stock 210 ones. Tie rods are unaffected as well but will need to be adjusted after cause the wheels get sucked in a bit and the toe will be off. You also have to remove the springs and perches and swap over the 210 stuff or run coilovers. You don't have to mess with the x member but you will need at least 14" tires to clear the brakes.
  11. Thanks. It was pretty close to being bolt in.
  12. WTF Rockauto? Same part number, just put quantity 2 in my cart and this is what shows up. They did however finally get the tie rods correct.
  13. Yeah no welding just some split collars. If you search around the suspension forum or the 280zx brake upgrade you'll find a lot of guys have done it this way.
  14. When I get the front end put back together and can get it outside. My coilovers showed up today! And installed Thanks ericwaslike! Now just have to wait for my tie rods, hopefully tomorrow!
  15. This is the second time the part numbers have matched what I ordered and what was on the box but the part in the box was totally wrong. I'm waiting on a tie rod assembly for the drivers side. And the coilovers I ordered from someone else. It still scares the shit out of me sometimes haha! It took me close to a year to source all the parts BEFORE I started and then you still end up needing shit and stalling. Once you get going it wasn't all that bad, especially with help.
  16. If rockauto would stop screwing up my parts order. Hopefully the right parts come in this week and I can get this little guy back on the road! Then I can get some video up.
  17. Also check the wires on the Alt. I would charge the battery and start fresh.
  18. Stock ones were gone a long time ago. I put kyb's in there when I redid all the ball joints and tie rods. Plus they stick up out of the 280 strut tubes too far. I was going to wait and do coilovers with a 200# spring as well but since I broke it and it's apart right now... Either way I want the shocks to be adjustable. Ok, I know there's a zx at the PnP so maybe/hopefully the rears are still there.
  19. I was looking at the KYB-AGX inserts just for that very reason. I've been reading through threads about spring stiffness and to increase the spring rate I thought you needed to cut. I'm not looking for a super stiff suspension, just pretty damn firm.
  20. Thanks jesusno2. Good to know, it just seems those are the ones everyone goes with. So I got my stock ones off and removed the lower perch. Got to grab some split collars and set them. How many coils do I need to cut off the stock springs. I thought I read somewhere its 2? I'm still looking for some input on shocks and I wanted to see what else I needed to order once I got them off and I can add a new ball joint to the list.
  21. Yeah, I've already got the rear end done. I'm just curious/confused about which inserts to run on the front.
