The meet was a hit. We had a pretty damn good turn out especially since it was less than a week's notice...I got there early and at for the first 20 minutes it was just me and another guy...wasn't looking good but then they just kept rolling in. Over 20 cars showed up and over 30 people (quite a few showed up without thier old school car...this time). Saw many familiar faces (Clay/Lisa/Troy/Ashley/Ben/Hector/Alex/Daniel/etx) and got to meet lots of nice new guys & gals and saw lots of cool cars so here's the pics,. Ok good...you can be photog...I was gonna bring my Canon Rebel XTi too but now I'll just bring my pocket camera. :) I emailed with a photog from JNC mag, he said he might be able to make it out too. We'll see.

Yeah I'll post it on the few sites I go to as well (the510realm, kp61.net,etc) but I don't go on JNC, I'm hoping my Pacman can post it there of if you belong to it post it up there. Yeah I changed it to old school meet rather than just Ratsuns... :P

Sounds good Ben and PL521, I'll let a few other guys I know who aren't on Ratsun know too. I picked the spot after talking to a few others and since in the past it's pretty clear that if brought up it can go back and forth on and on about where & when to meet...so that's why we'll see who can show up...hopefully it'll be a small group but we'll see....so get your butt in gear Clay (and Lisa), it's just not a meet without you guys there! :P

Hey Bay Area Ratsun members it looks like recently there's been a few events that just never get off the ground or end up canceled. I've been talking to BoostinBen and a few other 510 guys and figured it might be best to pick a place and a time to meet and just see who can show up...so here it is: Feel free to let others know to help with the turnout! WHAT: South Bay Datsun Meet WHERE: 3605 El Camino Real Santa Clara CA (just off Lawerence Expressway) WHEN: Thursday 4/16 @ 7pm Like our San Diego counterparts this will just be a very casual meet outside Starbuck's so whoever wants to come on over to check out each other's rides and talk cars while grabbing a cup of joe is welcome to come on down. Let's see if we can make this a semi-regular meetup too. :)

Ben are you talking about just the grill and bezels or the eyebrows too? I used Jasco paint stripper to get the paint off my grill and light bezels then polished them off. You can buy the aerosol stuff (aircraft stripper) and just give it a go...it's really easy. :) Here's what my blacked out bumpers looked when I took them off, same concept as what you're gonna do to your grille and light bezels. close up: paint bubbling up: after first scraping off, got most of the black paint but now exposed the primer underneath: after second scraping off, getting closer: steel wooled the last of it and this is the pre polish finish: after both:

Yeah u guys are right...looks to be a 69 all the way around (the dash that is)...well I'm glad it's all hooked up correctly and all the switches and heater controls all work right. :)

At least it has a vintage look...but yeah not my style. Looks pretty straight and I'm digging the euro tail lenses. :)
