  1. This is not mine. Went to see this truck today. Here's my take on it. GOOD: -Body is in great condition. Floorboards solid (even under the seat.) The only rust on the cab was under the battery tray. There's a small hole which is pretty common. Left fender has small hole where someone once mounted something (?) -Kingpins in pretty good condition. Slight play. -All trim is there and in great shape. -Non-cracked windshield. All other glass intact and in good shape. -Front bumper rates 8 of 10. -Bumperettes!!! Yes, it has them. -Nice, diamond plated tool box. -Clean title. Tags good til 7/10 BAD: -Fuse block was cracked and owner was in the middle of replacing it, but never finished. -4sp trans is busted. The shift lever is broken. -Dashpad is in bad shape. I'm going to be taking pics of this truck and will post them for the owner. It doesn't run at the moment because of the fuse block so I couldn't hear the motor. I urge anyone to take a look at this rig. PM me for contact info. -Brian
  2. I bought this body a while ago and stashed it away: Tonite, I picked up these to go w/ it: No doubt its going to be a pan car. Don't have a chassis yet. Shouldn't be too expensive and I might just get a rear motor pod w/ the axle and fab everything else. What do you guys think? -Brian
  3. Holy crap! Ummmm, now we see why its a donor. Can't believe I didn't see that in the above pic from the back. OUCH!
  4. Nice. If I work my ass off I can at least get mine to a presentable state. Maybe even drivable. PM me when you're coming into town. We'll get some guys together. Alohaz cuz! -Brian
  5. THanks for letting me check your ride out man! Super excited to jump back on my 521. The coilovers and leaf setup transform the 620 into a go-cart. Mean. Should go good with that KA. -Brian
  6. Somebody's been busy! Lookin good boss. -Brian
  7. What happened to that bench seat? Nice score on both trucks! That donor looks good. What's keeping it from running? -Brian
  8. Sorry you're having to go thru this boss. In '08 my parents and to put my Lab/Pit down. She was 17-ish years old so she was pretty much beyond her life expectancy, but still it hits hard. You can't put a price on life. The dog that I currently have up in Oregon (my wifes first dog) is now 8. When she was just 2yrs old she underwent hip reconstruction surgery ($3000). Worth every frikkin penny. She's our baby. We're all with you bro. -Brian
  9. Just my $.02 on the total travel question. Tack the upper in place and install the shock w/o the spring in there. Check ride travel w/ a jack under the LCA. You may have to get creative with some vise grips to secure the lower mount(or just tack in place). Optimally, you want the bumpstops to meet the arms before the shocks bottom out or are at full droop. QA1's have a optimum operation range. Outside of that and the damper isn't as effective and you stand a chance to damaging the shock beyond warranty. :) -Brian
  10. Yo Sanitys: Like me carry these back for you? Just have to convince Jason to bring them up the Portland. :) -Brian
  11. Haven't seen this one yet: This ones gonna be on my list. -Brian
  12. For the Portlanders, there's a '74 Rotary P/U in the Tigard LKQ that has a fuel injected 13B swap in it. Looks pretty rough, but the motor is pretty clean. -Brian
  13. This is with 15x8.5 wheels with about a zero offset (i think) I don't have the actual track width measurement and all the stock suspension has since been removed from my truck. The stock drag link was used (unmodified) and Pathfinder tie rods were swapped in (unmodified). You'll have to convert the brake hardlines to a metric fitting, but that's pretty easy. You'll also have to modify the t/c rod mounting point on the frame a little. Nothing more then drilling a lateral hole through the tabs to accept the bolt that secured the heim joint. -Brian
  14. Class act. They showed the finishing blow in slo-mo from every angle! Hahahaha! Never seen the skin on someones head ripple like an ocean! Pinoy power! -Brian
  15. Bob: What rack is that? I'm curious b'cuz it looks like it'd work for my build. Thanks, Brian
  16. Custom built and driven on for ~3yrs. This setup is solid. You'll need to pick up hardbody knuckles and brakes to complete, but there's no cutting or welding involved in bolting these on. $350 OBO.
  17. Rite on. My parents live in Kapolei. I goin be in town in June. Lemme know if you like cruise. Shootz cuz. -Brian
  18. Rajah! I'll take some pics tomorrow. Not much to report tho. Got the crossmember built and semi-mounted. I'm waiting on some thick-wall, 3/4" OD tubing so I can sleeve the x-member. Once that's done, I need to figure out how i'm going to secure the steering rack to the x-member. So how do you like the 20V? Buggah must scream uh? Thanks. I've only seen one other set so they're pretty rare. Its right in Tualatin at Altered Motives. Swing by one of these days. Most Thurs and Fridays, i'm there working on it. Wen its done, it'll be at RR on Saturdays.
  19. Small resurrection. Found this site: http://www.midwestmonsters.com/vintage.htm I recognize almost all of these trucks. Damn. Serious memories. -Brian
  20. LOL!!! Thanx foo! I had to explain what the laughter was about to my co-workers. -Brian
  21. Only just turned 30 this year, so nope I haven't had this done yet. BUT its inevitable that it will need to be done. This is my Playboy Mansion Grotto version of how they will go down! :fu::fu: Haha! -Brian
