HOLY CRAP! We weren't prepared. Not one bit. Sooooooo many cars. Dead fuggin camera batt. :) NWN has exponentially overgrown the capacity of GG. There were cars parked up to a half mile (or more) away from the last parking area. Awesome Datto turnout from what we saw. Never saw so many Skylines in my life. Never saw so many COPS in my life. Some were cool. Some were NOT. Oh well. SOme of the smacktards couldn't help but flex their vehicular muscles and spoil the law's good demeanor. Hahahaha! Next year, the 521 will be there. -Brian

Mahalo cuz! Goin be knutz, but goin take a while before its pau. I still have to order the wiring kit, fuel lines and brake lines. Small update: I finalized the design and placement of the trans x-member. It tucks nicely pretty high against the floor so as to clear the exhaust that we'll run. Motor got pulled again so that I could clean up the engine bay and remove more misc tabs/suspension stuff. Sorry. No photos this week. Next week: Finish engine bay clean up. Lay down a layer of Rustoleum (however the f@$k u spell it.) Do the final welds on all the mounts. Re-install the motor to mock up the steering column and steering rack. Mahalo for all the positive encouragement. On a slip note, the truck won't be at Canby this year. I forgot about Canby wen I booked my summer trip home. Gonna be out of town. -Brian

Any kind of upgrade/swap beyond the L-series is going to be pretty involved. KA24E is a very good candidate. They're inexpensive and plentiful. A complete engine/trans/wiring/ECU shouldn't run more then $400. If you're going to have a shop perform the work, uhhhhh..........mmmmmm.....maybe $2000-3000? [ice, does that sound about right?] Anyway, search the forum threads (before you get flamed) and take lots of notes. Quite a few of us have knowledge on KA's in 620's. -Brian

Every car guy I know has a list. Next weekend's list (complete list would be too long.): 1. Design and build trans x-member. 2. Cut out old trans x-member. 3. Pull motor and prep engine bay: -remove stock LCA/front x-member. -remove remaining stock front suspension. 4. Re-install engine to design front suspension and steering. That's a crap ton of shiet. -Brian

Man. There was nothing really to pick. There's a 720 w/ a L20B and a 5spd on it, but I wasn't too lazy, wet and cold to be pulling a tranny today. There's also a B210 w/ a 5spd in it if anyone is interested. Other then that, nothing. I managed to grab an ICU for my Integra so the $2 wasn't a total bust. Oh well. -Brian

Mark (tiltnose) built it. Its pretty cool, but I'll be taking it to a local shop later to change the throttle body flange. My Q45 TB won't fit on the one that's there. ;) Canby is coming up too fast. Struggling to keep up. At the very least, it'll get trailored to the show. :) -Brian
