  1. Hello folks, having an odd cooling issue. Mine you, this predates the failed pump from Canby! LOL Driving, I have no problem whatsoever maintaining proper temp. The only issue is sitting idling, or stop and go traffic. The temp remains at 195 for a few minutes, then steadily climbs. Predictable as the sunrise. Im running a 3 row factory radiator with a new core, and foxed 4 blade fan system on the pump, and 50/50 coolant/water wetter. Nissan thermostat. Ideas?
  2. Thought i'd 'boot some as well. Not all my car, but i took them. Atom's car
  3. they're still available newfrom trans dapt
  4. Just to be clear, theres no hard feelings. Im a victim of my own unpreparedness. Anyway, you know you are in the DatsunsNW slideshow??? datsunsnw.org
  5. Well, sadly after spending as much as I did fitting them and buying new lugs i could have probably just bought them off you. FML hahahahah New lugs: Whoever sold you the ones you had should be slapped, those short mag lugs had less than 1/4" thread engagement, I'd say you didnt lose a tire by sheer luck. Ended up getting the set of wheels from Tom and just swapping tires. 185/60's. Those 65 series were just huge on my car for some reason. H Here's how i got to GP And after fitting, and aligning.
  6. Enjoy! I ended up having different tires put on and getting an alignment. Cost a bit but worked out.
  7. Did some trading and buying at the swap and got toms wheels/tires and had them swapped on. Tire shops wanted $600 for new 14s but it ended up working out. Too bad the shop that did it cant follow instructions and aligned my car wrong...
  8. Hey folks, traded vintage rice for his 14x6 appliance mesh look alike wheels. His tires are huge 195 65 14. They rub like friggin crazyin the rear. What tire fits these best? Thanks!
  9. Sacramento CA, if this is who i think it is...
  10. Well, i dont have a DATSUN truck but my '97 hardbody single cab has definitely seen some heavy use. Its hard to use it like a datsun because nissan saw fit to equip a TRUCK with 3.54:1 rear gears... I had 900lbs of grapes in the back of my truck from roseville ca to placerville, up the hills and all. towed almost 2000, plus about 500 in the bed to the last Pare swap meet.
  11. Fix yer shit before you leave! Lol dammit that got aggravating...
  12. If we time this right we can catch the sacramento folks too steve
  13. Interested in a trade for very good condition 14" 6 spoke ZX wheels???? =D Same great tires
  14. You are hella wrong, my ex still lives somewhere in norcal... So, ive been thinking of these on my 510...
  15. Thanks GG, upon doing just that ^ i came up with another theory...The spring steel inserts that guide the caliper, also act as the bearing surface for which the caliper rides on. WIth my calipers mounted upside down, the bearing surface is now rough cast iron. I think I am going to have to re-orient my calipers if what i did today doesnt work.
  16. Hey folks, i recently replaced everything in my rear disc system. Rust had gotten into my calipers while the brakes sat for years. They are 83 200sx rotors, and 87 maxima rear calipers. Mounted upside down to retain the factory e brake cable system. Took it for a nice drive today, and the original vibration i started with 3+ weeks ago is finally gone. But, when i stopped, the back wheels were considerably hotter than the fronts. Attached is a photo of my rear disk system before new rotors, calipers/pads. I have verified time and again that the cables are slack and that the e-brke levers are resting on their stops. Another oddity, is that ifi come to a stop on ground with even a slight grade, the car WILL roll, so its not like they are dragging hard... Now, i installed the pads into the spring steel clips with no grease. And it actually required taps with a mallet to seat the pads against the rotor. Hoping its a simple solution or I am stupidly missing something here... Any suggestions?
