  1. Looking for a simple and smog free downdraft intake + exhaust headers for a U67 head in a 620. Currently have a combo manifold that is causing me stress. Can pay 100$
  2. If all goes wrong... I'll be posting a video of me blowing up a datsun tomorrow.

Yes but you may want to let it cool down before you do any cutting.

  3. Well, it is dead. But it runs. Therefor LIVING DEAD DATSUN You can probably drive it forever as it is. There's a little old lady in town who has been driving a Tercel wagon with a blown head gasket for at least the 7 years I've lived here. Keep the water and oil topped and it should last till at least the end of the world.
  4. 620. I think I got it. Red on anti-diesel solenoid, White on other solenoid, Black/Blue on dist. And the other two were hanging for A/C I think. Doesn't matter. I hooked it all up and it had seemed fine. Splash of gas in the carb and it started running down the exhaust from between the two manifolds. That's twice I've had to stop my project because of the stupid combo manifolds. If I can't find some manifolds for cheap, off to the scrapyard.
  5. I'll take it if you don't wanna fool with it.
  6. As good as a truck with a blown head gasket can run, right? Sounds like time for a rebuild.
  7. I have an L20B that was a basket case a month ago. I'm down to wires and hoses. There are 5 wires I'm having trouble figuring out. They are Red, White, Blue, Black with Blue Stripe, and Black. Some are spade, other bullets. I know two of them go to the solenoids on the Carb. And I think one goes on the side of the Distributor (points non Cali) that sends power to the capacitor. And maybe one goes to the spade on the distributor bolt (a ground?). And the last one possibly went to the A/C that is no longer there. Can anyone help me put these in the right spots? Electronics are my weakness.
  8. I pulled the tie rod out and did the pan. Front cover is on too. Now just to bolt everything else on...
  9. I broke the bolt with a tiny turn of my gargantuan hands. The bolt I used is metric, same threads, etc. Washer, lock, bolt head. I pulled out each bolt individually and used locktight on them. I wasn't thinking while I was drilling, and yes, there is a splash plate in the pan. I'm going to rinse the front of the block off with diesel and pour it through the pan a few times. I figured it would be a pain in the ass but how do I go about removing the bar? It's a real bitch putting the cork gasket on blind. Also, I put your old ass video on dvd and stuck it in my portable player. Thanks for the help.
  10. is JCR still alive?

  11. I broke a bolt off in the block yesterday. Some patience and a reverse bit, then an extractor bit.
  12. How do I properly remove the front seal from timing cover? Smack it with a big socket from the back? Then how do I install my new one? Also.. I put a new timing kit on the L20 in my 620. I broke a bolt off, top bolt of the left chain guide! So I drilled it out, like a pro, and got a new bolt. I need to fully remove the oil pan so I can clean out any shavings and put the new gasket on. Whats the easiest way to get the steering bar out of the way so I can drop the pan? Suspension vocabulary isn't that great so pics would be appreciated. Ah an another thing.... The bolt I used to replace the broken one is about 25% longer than the originals. It didn't bottom out. Is there anything behind the hole (top hole of left chain guide) I should worry about? Do I need to pull it out and grind it down?
  13. 620 should be all one piece by this time tomorrow, or at least close. Then it's paintin time!

  14. finally did my timing chain. Now to put the new oil pan gasket on, without full removing the oil ban. Pain in the ass

  17. Really need to get rid of these late 620 parts. Windshield, door windows, rear window, e-brake cables and assembly, pedals with clutch pedal, 4 speed tranny, driveshaft, and a rear dif if wanted.. Will ship, and can deliver. Few hours from Atlanta, Asheville, Charlotte. Make an offer!!!11!11!

  18. Everything in my tower is pushing 7 years old. It's time for an upgrade.
  19. I don't think you have to have a hood.... Lots of bucket roadsters here
  20. They can be compared in matters of heat, longevity, and price! Your statement is broke, a 3ghz amd processor can definitely be compared to a 3ghz intel processor ollz. Unless I'm mistaken, AMD had fastest cpu till the latest i7. Intel does have the mobile market flaming fast with the i7 laptops. Regardless of the current fastest (which no one here has, probably) AMD will always be ready to make a chip faster than the current fastest intel, which intel will top after a couple months, and then they repeat. Intel fans will always claim to be faster than the AMD guys, but AMD guys know they spent less. 3 liters you say? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NaWeYrSiYk :fu:
  21. Ok it's about time someone fixes the site banner and replaces this IPS crap logo with a fisch original. Bastards.

  22. Every nvidia/intel comp I own is DEAD. (except for my P2 tower) My 6yo amd/ati rig still runs everything. Yeah ATI cards run hot but so do v8s, ya get it?
