    If I can find a torque wrench then it should be on the road by tomorrow night! It needs a full rebuild but it will do just fine with a headgasket.

    When I read a paragraph with no periods I feel like I'm running out of air even though I'm not speaking the words... Anyways. The first time I met a datsun.... I guess it was the 69' 2000 roadster in dad's backyard that I used to sit in and play speed racer. A family of cat's lived in the trunk.

    I painted mine on with blue :thumbup: And I'm taking it off tomorrow! About sealing dry gaskets.... Once upon a time I picked up this sweet ass cadillac for 1/4 the scrap value. Someone used an entire tube of blue rtv when the put a new "dry" timing cover gasket on the 429. Water was half oil, oil half water, and everything was frozen solid! :poop:

    I almost got a 67' Mercedes from Asheville till he sent me more pics. The carpet was the only thing between your feet and the road. And back in '10 I was looking at someones car trying to get the A/C to take freon and they asked me to check the tie rod ends because it was clicking when they turned. I got under the car, an 06' pontiac from New York, and it was FUBAR. I told them to sell it before the frame broke in half. Salt's bad yo.

    OH SHIT.. That's part of owning a datsun :fu: I don't care what ANYONE says, I've had datsun bolts break with 2 pounds of torque. I ALWAYS have a backout kit ready when I'm working on a datsun.

      Heh, this guy keeps recommending some repair gunk you add to the water but I think it's beyond that. Because of my financial situation and the fact I was supposed to be in FL 4 days ago... I'm gonna borrow a torque wrench and just put a head gasket on it so I can get the fuck out of here.

    I had to drive my 620 back to the shop yesterday. It only runs on cylinders 1&4. It ran like the best 2 cylinder ever and pulled us no problem. And of course it was using a lot of that power to turn 2&3 also. Here's the idea. Get a 1300 lb 210 and put HALF of an L20b in it. That's as far as I've gotten so far :fu:
