  1. I would give serious consideration to up-grading the FI system then maybe the brakes. On that car, headers will be a major PITA with no real benefit
  2. ELECTRICAL THEORY BY JOSEPH LUCAS Positive ground depends on proper circuit functioning, which is the transmission of negative ions by retention of the visible spectral manifestation known as “smoke”. Smoke is the thing that makes electrical circuits work. We know this to be true because every time one lets the smoke out of an electrical circuit, it stops working. This can be verified repeatedly through empirical testing. For example, if one places a copper bar across the terminals of a battery, prodigious quantities of smoke are liberated and the battery shortly ceases to function. In addition, if one observes smoke escaping from an electrical component such as a Lucas voltage regulator, it will also be observed that the component no longer functions. The logic is elementary and inescapable! The function of the wiring harness is to conduct the smoke from one device to another. When the wiring springs a leak and lets all the smoke out of the system, nothing works afterward. Starter motors were considered unsuitable for British motorcycles for some time largely because they consumed large quantities of smoke, requiring very unsightly large wires. It has been reported that Lucas electrical components are possibly more prone to electrical leakage than their Bosch, Japanese or American counterparts. Experts point out that this is because Lucas is British, and all things British leak. British engines leak oil, British shock absorbers, hydraulic forks and disk brake systems leak fluid, British tires leak air and British Intelligence leaks national defense secrets. Therefore, it follows that British electrical systems must leak smoke. Once again, the logic is clear and inescapable. In conclusion, the basic concept of transmission of electrical energy in the form of smoke provides a logical explanation of the mysteries of electrical components especially British units manufactured by Joseph Lucas, Ltd. And remember: “A gentleman does not motor about after dark.” Joseph Lucas “The Prince of Darkness” 1842-1903 A few Lucas quips: The Lucas motto: “Get home before dark.” Lucas is the patent holder for the short circuit. Lucas - Inventor of the first intermittent wiper. Lucas - Inventor of the self-dimming headlamp. The three-position Lucas switch--DIM, FLICKER and OFF. The other three switch settings--SMOKE, SMOLDER and IGNITE. The Original Anti-Theft Device - Lucas Electrics. If Lucas made guns, wars would not start Back in the ‘70s, Lucas decided to diversify its product line and began manufacturing vacuum cleaners. It was the only product they offered which did not suck. Q: Why do the British drink warm beer? A: Because Lucas makes their refrigerators. This has been referred to as the smoke theory when the smoke comes out its finished, cooked or done for. The reason that the English drink warm beer is that they all have Lucas refridgerators!
  3. Just talked to my powder coat guy-he said that to do it to where you could drive it every day would run you $1500.00.Lot of prep work including about 6 hours of baking.
  4. Semantics,but it's an 810-not a Maxima.Does the f-54 have the bosses for the power steering mounts?
  5. THe ECUs in these cars aren't as "bright" as you give them credit for.THey can't learn anything. new connectors for the injectors, thermotime switch, temp sensor,CSI,Airvalve & TPS switch are all available at NAPA or other stores.
  6. Lonestar-pay attention to surface prep and with the right paint,it'll last a long friggin'time.I was use muriatic to clean the outside of the block.

    810!

More accurate info from and the usual bullshit response from you.All is right with the world.
  8. Powder coating is superior. However, the block takes awhile to get to 400 degrees for the process and you will be charged accordingly.THere is no advantage of PC'ing the block.
  9. I had a Sanden mount on the drivers side with a header and no issues. When i went back to the iron manifold,it hit the compressor.Recommend Courtesy Nissan.I don't have the numbers for the lenses.

    810!

IRS in a goon isn't worth the effort.Zero or negative ROI.
  11. Better you than me.Read up on the "Prince of darkness".
  12. As of this moment no production rack will fit a 620,as the truck is too narrow. So it's custom time.

    Datsun 620 value

    Everything has a price.
  14. What's the port diameter on the offy?Is it the size of an L-20B intake? If so,it will HURT low end performance.Removing the spacer will hurt low end performance.Anything that will adversly effect low speed cyinder filling is not good for low down gains.Having said this everything is a trade off.
  15. Last i knew lenses were still a dealer item.A/C-you DO NOT want an old York compressor.Get the brackets & adapt a Sandin. Here's the brackets:
  16. Z-train

    810!

But with a few tweaks it bacame the Maxima-the car Detroit never had an answer for.
  17.
