  1. I forgot you asked this. No, so consoles. There are JDM consoles that you can import if you find them. There are a couple in the States already, but you have to find someone looking to sell. There was one for sale a few months ago on here. Most people find consoles from the yards to swap in. I just wanted a cup holder so I installed one of the ones I bought while in Japan.
  2. Ive heard of people putting Civic consoles in. You get cup holders and an arm rest storage flippy-uppy thing. I think Dave from FutoFab is running one, as well as VintageRice (I think).
  3. Its from the lower inlet flange... Ive thought about soldering it up, but wasnt sure if normal solder would do the trick. At least Im pretty sure thats where its coming from... I did a bit of searching for it, but its not some giant leak so sometimes its a little hard to locate. Here within a couple weeks (before Sept. 9th) I will be pulling the motor out to fix the oil pan gasket leak so I will look at the radiator then.
  4. Damn, I had a middle one for ya... oh well, good luck on your hunt.
  5. Ugh I dont have one  I was waiting to snag a complete install picture once I got my new steering wheel mounted up, but that hasnt happened yet so neither did a 'nubbin' picture. I can run out and grab a quick oic if youre interested.
  6. Johns back! :frantics: Glad to see a little update.
  7. Of course it will, it will be the only wagon in the neighborhood that will smell like maple syrup and moose shit
  8. Ill look into those as well. Not a terrible price
  9. Ok here you go... I took pictures of everything: Im not too familiar with the stock setup for the single mono speaker, but this should be about right (under the dash on the passenger side): Most people remove that (if they even have one) and install front speakers here (you can see the circular hole behind the kick panel): This is what covers the above picture: Please do not cut up your door cards to fit speakers. Theres no reason for it. The above picture shows the kick panel cover which is just MDF board so its easy to cut for speakers, is easily replaceable (read: cheap), and theres already cutouts in the body for speakers behind that panel. Cutting up door cards is just retarded when installing them in the kick panels is so easy. Here is where most people put the rear speakers: Under that MDF board is this: Just cut out that board to the shape you need to fit your speakers over the whole already in the parcel shelf. This is the MDF piece that goes behind the rear seat: Here is how its installed: Here is another MDF board for the trunk... most cars dont come with one these days. They cover the gas tank for dings and such when you throw shit in your trunk: Here it is installed: There is a gap there in the middle of the MDF board... its covered by a plastic package tray shown here: That should give you everything.
  10. Give me a couple minutes to get some photos and Ill post them along with another talk. BRB.
  11. There is an MDF piece for the parcel shelf (where the rear speakers would be if someone installed them... they only came with one mono speaker from the factory and its under the dash) and a separate piece that goes between the rear seat and the place the back of the seat mounts to. I can snap a photo if need be.
  12. Create a new thread in here: http://community.rat...-project-datto/ Title it someting unique so people know what it is... not just "My Build." Maybe DatMos 68 Restore DatMos 68 Dream Car Blah Blah Blah you get the point.
  13. A build thread would be a chronological posting of what youre doing to your car. You write a quick intro in the first post, maybe how you found the car, what your plans are, and then you post 100 pictures. Then when you work on the car at all, you post what you did followed by another group of pictures. People will comment on your build, provide helpful suggestions, and advice to further along your process. Are you talking about the MDF piece that goes between the seat and the lattice structure to the trunk? Its just to keep fuel vapors and noise out of the main interior. Not required though you can make you own if you so choose. I actually just sent a template of that piece to another member here so they can make their own.
  14. I recommend keeping it and not giving it to me. Keep the 68 a 68... if you decide to get rid of it, I hope you PM me and we can work something out. Id rather it be used on your car though. I also recommend that you make a build thread and you can receive help in there when you have issues. We would also like to see pictures of this car you picked up.
  15. Ill still take it. Do you have a build thread yet?
  16. Seriously though... youll ruin the 68. Im not too worried about people putting unoriginal parts on cars, not all my parts are original. But if you own a rare 68, you better keep the parts that define a 68. Otherwise whats the point. If youre dead set on swapping out dashes for the 70-series, then I honestly will take the dash; I will give it a good home.
  17. Please for the love of God do not switch anything around if you have a 68... 68s are the rare years and are sought after. You mentioned you wouldnt buy an auto because you didnt like it, why would you buy a 68 if you didnt like it?! If you want to swap all the parts around, then I will gladly take all of your 68 items.
  18. Yes, very nice condition. One lens did have a crack in it so I replaced both Nissan lenses with Mexican reproductions (they looked perfect and very well made). I dont regret selling them as I enjoy the GL set of lights I have now. The previous lights went to a good home though. Man... I havent updated this in a long time. I havent had much money so not a whole lot of work has happened. I have just been driving the shit out of it. Went to Bluelake with a small radiator leak and rocking the bald spare. Car performed like a fucking superstar. With the trip down and back, I only lost two inches of coolant and didnt get a flat so Im happy. Im going to be fixing the oil leak here soon and throwing a few small parts at the car. More updates over the next two weeks as I get ready for the Nissan and Mitsubishi meet on the 9th of September.

    my 75 620

Everything looks good except I don't like the mirrors. I think they look good on most cars, but to me it looks weird on the 620. Was that actual factory/dealer option? The rest looks great man.
  20. Not off the top of my head, but there's plenty of Cali members and I'm sure someone has to live in Ventura. Just post in here that you'd like some help checking it out (maybe in the first post) and I'm sure someone in the area will hit you up in the morning.
  21. I haven't actually looked at the ad, but depending on where it is there may be a fellow Ratsuner that would look at it for you before you waste 10hrs for nothing.
  22. It could be a few things. The front suspension could be messed up, bushings need replacement, rims and tires might need balancing, tires might be shit, could just be the normal wagon driving that he's not used to... Without hands on or better pictures of the front suspension it's going to be hard to determine a problem.
  23. The whole 70-73 dash wiring harness. You also have to make new mounting tabs for the dash to go in. It fits perfect, but it's not a direct bolt in. These interchange threads you keep making is getting a little ridiculous. I would 1. Search the site as this has all been covered before or 2. If you can't find the answer then a. make one singe thread "called what can I swap between years" or something or b. ask these questions in your build thread.

    Carpet kits?

Like we (and even I) explained in your other thread 68-73 are almost identical in every way excluding few differences. If it wasn't listed in that other thread then you can change them all around. The carpet is the same for any year as the physical body never changed. Just make sure of you have a 2/4/wagon you get the right one. I believe he's located in the San Francisco area
