Looking to swap to an electric fan and hoping not to slice and dice my water pump fan clutch off.

I think the fan clutch is pressed on the water pump, not meant to come off.  The pulley is sandwiched in between the fan clutch & the water pump flange.  You need to buy a 510 L16 water pump & a USED pulley, then simply do not use the plastic 4 blade fan.  Pretty sure you will need to shorten the original L16 fan blade bolts, as they will screw in further & I think they might hit the actual water pump......??  Sounds like somebody put a fan clutch water pump on your L18.  I will have an L16 L18 pulley.  PM if interested!
