the story of my toys...

Well lets start out with the jap. ones just to keep it "forum correct" :lol:

 

so, to start with we have my 82 toyota SR% hilux/ panther tank

the day i picked it up

a completly new headlight to tail light harness/intake manifold/carb/all the egr setup/dash/gauges/steering column/lights/exhaust/clutch/starter and a week later it was over at a friends flexing its muscles...

Then i had a little fun and decided i wanted to put it to the test and sink or swim i was going to make it accross the pond... :lol:

Well come to find out the previous owner didnt tell me it had a severely bent frame.... so i had to put her under the knife...

Here is afte a new frame/suspension/shackles/axles/tires/motor/ect.

Got the new exo half on and opted to not do the back since the truck didnt have the correct bed on it.

had her parked at a buddies for awhile after i sheered the flywheel off the crank(dont ask ) and he decided my weber 38/36 needed to be on his truck more along with my high-lift and a couple otehr things so i took it back home

did some late night wheelin and had the cops called on me, then i had to pull said cop out of a ditch with my truck...needless to say i got a "warning" LMAO!

so i got some new tires on it and did a LOT of body damage to her

broke my cage when i rolled into a tree and the tree fell on me...:lol:

bent the hell out of my light bar, and distroyed 7 KC lights and my CB antenna.. which kinda sucked so i decided to cut the back half of the cage off and say screw it...

before i did that i wanted to test my flex and also figure out where my tires were hitting at..

now onto my 82 5.0GT stang

this was teh day i drove her home

the HO 5.0L 302 stock

at the mustang picnic, i must have had the most beat up neglected car their..it was sad..

then the rear main seal took a dump and the motor and stuff was just beat and tired so i put her under the knife...

after all the paint was aircraft stripped and the whole car was sanded down, i pulled the motor out

tore the motor down, and was planning to rebuild it, but plans changed

hard to tell but i got REALLY wasted and painted some badass flames on the hood...

and then my new goodies just show up (i actually drove almost right past redeyes house to pick it up last night)

 

some specs of the motor itself:

rebuilt 351 windsor

1989 block out of a bronco

punched .030 over to a 357

polished crank

zero'd deck

port and polished heads

all new hardware

i also got the ford racing conversion oil pan to put the 351 in a fox

a set of HPM racing 3/4" solid steel drop motor mounts

a set of polly factory style motor mounts

the edelbrock performer RPM manifold thats on the motor

and the moroso valve covers that are on the motor.

 

here soon ill be ordering up the headers and the clutch for the conversion and throwing her in. then i only need all the hardware brackets and a carb and a new radiator and high torque mini starter and i should be on the road.

 

 

well ill add more later as this alone has taken me 2 hours to do and im hungry as hell...you know the whole inner fat kid thing..

got some more progress done to the motor today, just screwing around. eventhough i have to take it all back off i just wanted to toss it together for something to do.Does anyone happen to have an MSD distr. for a 351 windsor with the cap/rotor/wires? and poss a(preffer holly) 4bbl carb floating around? Maybe the alt and acc. brackets so i can put the power steering pump and alt on the motor?(im a fawking tard and threw mine away with all the scrap metal when i was in a pissy mood and got tired of stubbing my toes on junk..)

 

threw on the factory pos 2bbl carb off my 302 and the wires off the 302, i also put all the plugs and sensors in the manifold.

it doesnt have a clutch or flywheel on it so its just mocked up but i wanted to drop it in to make sure everything was going to fit right, well found the first problem. The front of the oil pan is resting on top of the sway bar.. i guess they didnt expect everyone to have a california highway patrol 5.0L mustang swaybar in their fox :D

 

if only i had the $... i want to get these and polish them up for it!:eek:

So i found a problem with the setup.. I guess the 3/4" drop mounts are off... My oil pan is resting on the K-member and steering rack, and also the sway bar. its leaving about a 3/4 inch gap from the mount to frame on the driver side and about a 1/2 inch gap on the pass side.. so im going to fab some stuff up and make it work!

 

starting to look good.. "ya, thats a freshly rebuilt 5.0L.. looks good right" :lol::fu:
