codycheg
Hey guys I need some help. The headers the guy put on my car were not very good. They once had a leak and he had to weld it back together. The weld broke on my way to wally's world and now I have two half-dime sized holes in my headers... Would this be worth fixing or just getting nicer headers? Quote Link to comment
Cuts metal like mad
get a stock manifold... Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Get one of these: Older stock L16 exhaust 521/510early 620. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q251/datzenmike/L%20Z%20Heads%20and%20Motors/motorL16exhaustmanifold.jpg[/img]"] Any L18 around '74 and block the EGR tube with pipe plug. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q251/datzenmike/L%20Z%20Heads%20and%20Motors/enginepossibleL18620exhaust.jpg[/img]"] If it has the air injection tubes just remove and plug as well. These will never wear out, never leak, never give you a problem. They will flow as well as a header, they will be quiet, they will look rusty, but no one will see them when you drive by anyway so who cares. Quote Link to comment

jrbd10
Curently in my 710 i have these http://billsdatsun.com/510headers.html This fit nice and a good spray would last. i have it running to a straight 1 1/2 inch exhust to a DC sports muffler. sounds sick as hell. i always get a few alarms to go off. slodat
Those headers are junk. Plain and simple. The stock manifold is the way to go. Those headers are made of very thin wall tubing. They are prone to leaking. Quote Link to comment
cheg
yeah and they had a hole in them and the previous owner had to weld them once already most likely my brother will get new ones Edited December 28, 2008 by cheg Quote Link to comment

Cuts metal like mad
5/16 flange? this would make your manifold washer lopsided and then you get poor sealing... Quote Link to comment
jrbd10
im just saying the headers have been good to me! Quote Link to comment
slodat
I've been to the shop of the guy that makes those headers. He is rather proud of them. He's a nice guy. That has nothing to do with an overpriced, low quality part. Quote Link to comment
