The new 521 !!! (tentatively named Delores)

Just drove this home about 500 miles from central/northern Cali. Burned out an alternator on the way ($60), and had a little trouble with it running rough and rich when we were almost home- (saw a little bit of coolant sprayed around the intake mani, but haven't found the source yet) Towed it through LA, just because I didn't want to break down in traffic on the 405! But, got it home- gonna yank the L16 and replace gaskets- hoses- plugs/wires- and clean up the engine bay (minor surface rust) So, it begins!

Thanks! the previous owner is a member here- I think his name here is 71datsane.

He's got a sick z project in his garage that he was making room for!

Looking for a Weber carb (if anyone has one for sale please let me know!),

L20 cam, 2" exhaust, ect...

probably have to replace some bushings up front- quite a bit of slop right now, but doesn't bump-steer at all.

Maybe 5-speed as well???

oh, projects!

Ck the tightness if the intake bolts goin to the head.

The water intake ports to intake manifold there is water flow to keep the intake hot so the carb doesn not freeze. Sometime these get loose and water will leak or sometime get sucked up so it look like a bad head gasket.

Sould be a ez fix/

go to olddatsuns.com for info on Datsuns best Datsun site for new guys.
