Datsun 510 rear differential assembly

Datsun Mike , what’s an old Datsun 510 rear end complete worth ? I stumbled upon one yesterday sitting on the ground next to a shell of a 510 !

diff maybe 50$

the whole rear I would pay 150-200 if really in need.

 

Up here in Washngton alot just in back yards waisting away. Since Subaru diffs are wanted the 510 ones are obsolete.

 

I got a R180  I need to get rid of with 510 half hafts

Do you mean just the differential? or the sub frame with axles, control arms, mustache bar etc. The R160 is made by the same company that supplies Subaru, Fuji Heavy Industries. The 720 4x4 front differential is an R180 and the same basic unit as the Z car.

 

They are cheaper where more plentiful. Demand drives the price up. If thinking of flipping, there is no money to be made doing.  this.

Many people have swapped R180s into 510s. Lots of LSD units made it into 510s too. If it was an R180 LSD, I'd drive to San Diego to get it from you.
