Stinky
I have the Suburban set to move something heavy....it is in low.range. I go in side and the son says, can I drive the Sub in to town....yes. 3-5 secs later I go and try to catch him and see it turning on to the road. 5 minutes later, he calls and says that he is broke down. It started losing power (cuz it wouldn't rev anymore). He was trying to do the speed.limit (65), or more, in low.range. It now has a roller.cam block w.Mercruiser heads. It had 2 holes in the pan, notice the bent rod and the bent stuff above/below the crank. 1 Quote Link to comment
john510
How do you NOT know somethings not right as soon as you hit the gas ? I have a four wheel drive and in low range you know it's a lot different. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I snapped a '72 350 truck crank coming out of a driveway onto dirt road. There was a puddle and the tires broke loose and it revved. I didn't think that high, but the lights all came on and it wouldn't restart. OH!!!! the fan belt fell off!!! Got it half on the pulley and had someone turn the starter to spin it on and the pulley wobbled!!! That ain't right. (company truck) 1 Quote Link to comment
