32/36 Weber Conversion

So long story short I have carb issues, and I could possibly have it rebuilt granted I can find the right kit, but recently I stumbled across a guy who sells a 32/36 DGV FAJS Weber carb conversion kit for the a14. The questions are 1. Is this too much carb for a stock a14? 2. How would I reroute and/or eliminate all the antismog stuffs? and 3. Is this a worthwhile upgrade?

Here's the link to the carb

Try Pierce Manifolds for the Weber conversion. I think just under $300

Be sure to get the electric choke and the idle cut solenoid.

It will run and give good power and more if you do later upgrades. It is a bit large, so off idle and low speeds may be less enjoyable.

Plug them, remove them, figure out how to keep some or all of them. Your call.

A stock air cleaner can be made to fit the Weber, with or without an adapter. If you want to use the stock air cleaner, you can keep a lot of the emissions stuff.

Personally, I like to delete all of it, except the PCV and breather hoses. I even delete the vacuum advance and modify the distributor so the vacuum advance isn't required. It's a learning curve to know what you can live with and without. And more importantly, how to tune around those issues.

Here's one on Ebay for Sale,I bought mine from Ebay back in 2016.It is a Redline.I use a idle cut off solenoid and  use my emission stuff.Runs perfect.I don't use a Weber idle cut off solenoid.I use a Empi one with a big .155 jet and a O ring.I couldn't get the Weber idle cut off solenoid to work, but I believe they have changed it to another type cause the part number is not the same. Here is a site that I buy my Weber parts from, like gaskets...https://www.ebay.com/itm/393495090477?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A12gVJ-PFbQZG-e8q7bJM-kg32&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=393495090477&targetid=1644837434843&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9011420&poi=&campaignid=16743749222&mkgroupid=138744546207&rlsatarget=pla-1644837434843&abcId=9300842&merchantid=131363253&gclid=Cj0KCQjwk7ugBhDIARIsAGuvgPaR6A0UxVCL1HyNR4wyzFilOq6S1SVBTNL5ZGdlpG9Wh7ZcFBEg3xwaAgK_EALw_wcB   Here is a site I buy my Weber parts from.https://www.carburetion.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?part=K624 Buy the Weber or anything else from them and get a free fuel line.https://www.carburetion.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?Part=516hose I bought my jet and gaskets from them. Here is another site I buy from.https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/keywordsearch.asp?KeywordStart=weber&KeywordButton=Go Here is the jet I bought for my Empi Idle cut off solenoid,I bought my O rings from Harbor Freight.https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=74409

Is there anyway you can send a picture how you have everything routed? I'm still trying to decide on a kit, but I'm very interested on how you got your emission stuff hooked up.
