JacobBieg
So long story short I have carb issues, and I could possibly have it rebuilt granted I can find the right kit, but recently I stumbled across a guy who sells a 32/36 DGV FAJS Weber carb conversion kit for the a14. The questions are 1. Is this too much carb for a stock a14? 2. How would I reroute and/or eliminate all the antismog stuffs? and 3. Is this a worthwhile upgrade? Here's the link to the carb Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Try Pierce Manifolds for the Weber conversion. I think just under $300 Be sure to get the electric choke and the idle cut solenoid. It will run and give good power and more if you do later upgrades. It is a bit large, so off idle and low speeds may be less enjoyable. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
FAJS is a knockoff carb. I would buy a real Weber. Read this - https://www.weberperformance.com.au/information.php?info_id=14 I've used DGV carbs on all A motors, even my little A12. It ran fine. Quote Link to comment
JacobBieg
Ok, so find a different carbkit got it, but what do I do about the anti smog lines? 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Plug them, remove them, figure out how to keep some or all of them. Your call. A stock air cleaner can be made to fit the Weber, with or without an adapter. If you want to use the stock air cleaner, you can keep a lot of the emissions stuff. Personally, I like to delete all of it, except the PCV and breather hoses. I even delete the vacuum advance and modify the distributor so the vacuum advance isn't required. It's a learning curve to know what you can live with and without. And more importantly, how to tune around those issues. Quote Link to comment

I'm still trying to decide on a kit, but I'm very interested on how you got your emission stuff hooked up. Quote Link to comment
