Best oil for an 85 720

If you fill it, it will run out while installing. Half fill and quickly spin it on. Meh.... my old slant six would rattle on start up till the oil filled the filter and started pushing the oil onto the bearings. It's just something I always do.

I, honestly, don’t see how you can put any oil in the filter and have it stay there, when installing it on a z24. On my truck, it’s just way too tight to get the filter on. You might be able to do it without spilling oil everywhere, but to me it’s not worth the effort.

That's why you only half fill it so you can turn it on it's side. Spinning it on quickly also helps.

 

Makes me laugh, those with remote oil filters that are mounted upside down.

So then I am going for this oil and f and stop by Napa on the way home and grab a filter thanks fellas for the insightful helpful tips!! HEY No worries I’ve got it done installed and the gas smell is almost gone and the smoke has just about quit!! Thanks for the help!
