KELMO Posted February 19, 2023 Report Share Posted February 19, 2023 Agree with Matt. Can't speak for the 70's but from the mid 80's to mid 90's, Dealers would install "upgrade" radios. You could order a base vehicle that may or may not have had at the very least cigarette lighter. I remember the parts catalog showing radios for the older vehicles. yenpit Posted February 22, 2023 Report Share Posted February 22, 2023 I think all of the 68-73 510 radio's were Hitachi's. As far as I know, all of the 240Z's were also Hitachi. Keep in mind that some new car owners would quickly install a "better" radio, so I have seen 510's with all sorts of other brands, including Clarion, as that was a popular upgrade brand! 1 Quote Link to comment
