Cardinal Grammeter
If you tear down the carb to the body, I would highly recommend ultrasonic cleaning the body. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I've had the element in the fuel filter come loose. After two cleanings I started looking for the cause. Shake the filter you can hear it rattle inside. Cheap filter quality. 1 Quote Link to comment
throw1932
I did check the filter, seems good. float bowl is still clean. Quote Link to comment
Cardinal Grammeter
I always get the clear bowl type. I thought I had gotten Hastings but it looks like a lot of other manu's make them: NOTE: I also think it's a good idea to replace all rubber fuel hoses with alcohol resistant ones. And there is a lot you need to know to actually get the good ones. (I haven't done this - too lazy/busy - my 620 is still my ONLY daily driver - no 2nd car online yet.) throw1932
I replaced all of the engine bay hoses when I got the truck. I live down the street from a a gas station that has non ethanol 90 octane at the pump, so I run that. little expensive, but the truck seems to like it. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I've had the metal filters actually rust from the inside with no visible rust on the outside, and only a year old when this happened. Clear plastic filters are a better choice so you can get a visual of what's gong into the carb. Also not a bad idea to run two filters. Quote Link to comment
