Seeker > 620 KC
I have a couple 2 piece drive shafts i picked up in a pile of parts. One is supposed to be 620mlong/short? the other could be 620, 521, or 320? Does anyone have the lengths of the drive shafts, or a way to ID them? Are the spline counts specific to the diff models? datzenmike
From '74 through '79 the front ones should all be the same length. The rear one depends on the frame length. Short and long frames. The '73 used a short 26" 4 speed so the front would be longer than the later 620s might even be a match for the 521 L16 . Sorry, don't have any numbers. Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
Mike what about how the 521 has the DL bolted to the trans? What year did that stop? My 78 620 didn't have that style. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Only the '70-'72 L16 PL521 had the bolt on flange on the transmission output spline. The J13 powered 520 and '69 L521 had a single driveshaft so didn't have the bolt on output because the transmission and differential have to move independent of each other. The PL521 transmission is identical to the 510 wagon 4 speed including the gearing, other than this flange. 1 Quote Link to comment
West
620 KC, I have no clue how this forum works or how to private message you but I saw in a previous post of yours where you said you had a speedo for a Datsun 620 and I was interested in buying one off of you, Thanks Quote Link to comment
