banzai510(hainz)
Pacific Coast Datsun on here uses one of those, see where that red/grn wire goes to and get that also. Maybe write the color codes where they hook up to also. PCD uses the GM module to get it working right. I Would NOT pay to much money for for. the previous owner could have mounted the dist mount 180 degs so the vacuum advance points the other way. So the Vac adv dont hit the hose. datsunaholic
That's the external-ignitor version used through the '78 model year ('76-77 in California, everywhere in '78). Needs either the original remote box to work or an HEI module. Quote Link to comment
Farmer Joe
hmm. so do you think its worth 10bux? if theyll let it go for 10 ill buy it. how hard is it to wire one of these up with the HEI module? oh yeah, if i do get it, get the pedistal right? i remember someone sayin that theyre different between dists. banzai510(hainz)
http://www.olddatsuns.com/620tech.htm look under HEI upgrade Put motor on TDC then pull out old dizzy and put the new one in. PS grab the dizzy with the mount that goes to the from cover also as one unit. I myself would rotaye the mount so the vac adv is 180deg in the other direction so it not near the water hose yes 10$ is fine up to 20$ But I have a feeling a JY in Washington would want 40$. Jeff Hino's scrapbin 5$ Edited December 4, 2008 by banzai510(hainz) Quote Link to comment
Cuts metal like mad
got one of those, mine was free, but Its unknown if it works... :) I like them better than the matchbox version myself, due to the ease of use of an hei module for quick and easy replacement. Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
Dont this 521 have a module somewhere as it didnt come w/electronic ignition. Maybe the guy wired the stock remote box in the truck already. here the diagram for that. Quote Link to comment
