datzenmike
Too bad it's an '80 as it has the L series engine and transmission. If you have an '81 and up gas engine the Z series transmission would bolt up to the KA. So first you need to find a Z series 4 or 5 speed that is 31.5" long so that you don't have to shorten the driveshaft. Alternatively a KA 5 speed is better and stronger but then you have to shorten the driveshaft. ]2eDeYe (Steve) sells KA engine mounts that I think will also work on the 720. Are you planning to keep the KA's EFI? If yes you will need to fine a high pressure in line fuel pump. Car KAs have a separate EFI harness and easier to swap while the truck wiring is in the main harness and hard to get at. Icehouse (Jeff) sells a CanAm box that makes the connections to the stock wire harness in the truck easier. If not keeping the EFI and you have a truck KA you can remove the TBI and make an aluminum adapter plate and bolt a 32/36 Weber carburetor on and put an L20B distributor on in place of the CAS. You will be able to use the truck electric fuel pump. 2 Quote Link to comment
