haubstr
I just got given to me a L521 that had the J13 with the frame motor mounts cut off. I want to put an L series motor so is it better to weld on some L motor mounts to the frame or just find a frame from a PL521 and switch everything over? I'm in NORCAL It doesn't have to be perfect as I already have a 521 with a KA swap I just need an everyday driver/beater. 2 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
I would think welding mounts would be less time consuming...? Not to mention the VIN is stamped on the frame rail. 2 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Cut engine mounts from a 521, 620, or 1980 720 and bolt them to the engine set the engine ine the frame bolt up trans and center the engine in the frame and weld the mounts in. I have used all 3 mounts and the work fine. Edited September 26, 2020 by Charlie69 1 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I have these available now, they do require some fabrication. Cutting, grinding and welding. They replicate the stock 620 frame side mounts and allow you to bolt up an L20B. I also offer a trans mount that is bolt in for this swap. These mounts also work with my KA/SR conversion mounts if you wanted to go that route. 2 Quote Link to comment
