datzenmike
Pumping the brake with engine off is only to exhaust any residual vacuum in the booster in order the compare it to when the engine is running and there is vacuum. when the engine is started there should be a slight drop in the peddle. If the peddle is soft loosen the hand brake then adjust all four brake drums. Spin tire by hand and turn the adjuster till it rubs. Stomp on the brakes several times to center the adjuster (otherwise only one shoe might be doing the rubbing) and if the tire spins easily, keep adjusting till it just rubs and repeat. If the shoes have to travel any unnecessary distance this causes the peddle to have to travel farther. Don't forget to adjust the hand brake. Usually the hand brake rises 3-4 clicks to apply. It's important that when released the brake does not drag. Adjust accordingly. Now try the booster test. Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
Sorry if I missed it but have you checked to see that the pedal isn't running out of travel, ie - hitting the floor? Quote Link to comment
