LeadrBike
Anybody know exactly where the oil pressure sensor/sender unit is? Brand new motor is in and everything’s ready I just want to hook up a gauge and make sure it has oil pressure before I start it with fuel. I saw something about a oil pressure valve in the manual but it doesn’t seem like what I’m looking for and on top of that I couldn’t find it. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's high on the right side of the block between the oil filter and the dip stick. Between #2 and #3 spark plug 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
make sure you primed your oil pump first(might know already) its a 1/8 BPT NOT 1/8 NPT which seems to be most cars or those Taiwan kits at the local O Rileys Vato zone Most Nissan use 1/BPTF 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
A hold over from when Nissan got into bed with Austin of Great Britain to build their cars under licence using imported parts. Withinga year they were making the parts in Japan but with the foot in the door they had access to the patents to Austin engines. They made exact copies BUT in typical Japanese fashion, with improvements. This is why MG parts fit the J series. The 1/4 BSPT was still in use into the 2000s and maybe even today. 1 Quote Link to comment
