jesusno2
The starter just clicking sounds Like just a bad connection somewhere as far as the drain I dunno beenani fought his battery drain issues for a while till he found the horn relay was causing it. Somehow you can do something with a test light to find a short but I can never remember what it is. Quote Link to comment
rat tail dragger
hey i no your kc has a horn issue when you use the blinker id check that and maybe try another ignition you have see if it changes at all if not follow the wires from the starter check for breaks and cracks or bare wires Quote Link to comment
BEEBANI
doug, hook a test light between the neg. battery post and the neg. battery cable, keep pulling fuses until it goes out. Quote Link to comment
Nissan_Boy85
Check your power and ground connections. Check the battery cables itself leading to the starter for conductivity. Clean the battery posts and top of battery. Check the fuses. If anything else, use the big hammer. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Do what BEEBANI says, pull either cable and connect a test light between the cable and the battery post. If something is drawing power the light will.... light up. Pull the three fuses on the right (the left only have power if the key is on) If the light goes out something on that fuse is the problem. If the light does not go out then something like a stereo amp has been wired into the power line somewhere. Look for a previous owner's handiwork. Is the interior light on? Are the brake lights on?Are the horns disconnected... the relay could still be on. Unplug the voltage regulator. Go out? Unplug the plastic plug to the alternator, go out? Quote Link to comment
DatDoug
Thank you 4 all your input on this matter. I found the problem to be the voltage reg. Bot the cheap $50 VR @ Autozone and she is fixed:D Quote Link to comment
