Charlie69
You are correct on the usage of the 2 wire temp sender usage. 1985 1986 720s feedback carb trucks have this 2 wire sender also. Quote Link to comment

jagman
Now I have replaced the head, timing chain and sprockets and replaced the carb with a weber from redline. I did not connect the round plug that went to the carb. I also deleted the vacuum lines to anything not needed including the egr valve. Everything appears to be correct but I get no power to the starter solenoid. On a fully charged battery I just get one click and then nothing. The Haynes manual has no illustrations on the wiring (round connector) to the carb. Which wire controls the electric choke? Need help once again. Thanks Steve. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Have someone turn the key while you get under the hood and watch... Does it click every time you turn the key to START? If so then the solenoid is partly working. It's job is twofold. It must 1/ electrically connect the battery positive cable too the starter windings AND 2/ it must push the star gear on the starter armature out and engage the flywheel ring gear. 1 Quote Link to comment
