KamakSun
Howdy Ratsunners, I got my closed chamber head back from Monta at machine tech and I’m very pleased! Everything is running well except at take off. There is a hesitation sputter in initial exceleration and then everything is perfect. How do I correct this? Are there any mikuni tuning gurus in Dan Diego? Happy Sunday, Kamaksun Quote Link to comment
john510
I'm no Mikuni tuner but i did get mine set up pretty good.If jetting is good check the synchronizing. Also check for a loose jet.I have to tighten one particular jet up every few hundred miles. When it loosens i know it because of a sputter when i accelerate. What motor, jetting etc. ? KamakSun
L20b, I’m not sure of the jetting but I’ll check and report back soon Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
If you have not re-curved your distributor yet, I would do that before you spend any time changing jets. 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
try 12-15 deg adv n the dist. make sure its sync and jets all down nice and tite. my jets are 130 fuel and 160 air if I remember right(40mm set up) . should be close to that to run good enuff. 1 Quote Link to comment
don51o
Hi; venturi's too big? Accelerator pump nozzle plugged. Accelerator diaphragm defective. Check valves not working. Accelerator pump is adjustable for bigger or longer "shot". Mikuni PHH carburetor service manual. "calling" from Canada Quote Link to comment
