To anyone who has replaced the clutch on their 210

Recommended Posts

I ordered a clutch kit online and everything seems to check out okay except the throwout bearing, see the old bearing pressed straight against the hub and still spun, but if the new one is pressed all the way back it hits the dustcap on the bearing and stops spinning. I ordered another one from an auto parts store, but it was the same deal. I couldn't find an original part on ebay either. I am worried that if i use the clutch enough it will nudge the bearing back eventually and break it.

Anyone else dealt with anything like this?

I faced the side with the print on it outwards, but it is the same story either way it goes on.

This way out to the clutch. The rounded bump all the way round presses against the clutch diaphragm fingers. That part should spin easily with your fingers while holding the outside of it..

There's book learning, learning by following a good example and there's learning by mistake. This is good, better, and best.

Hard learned is hard earned.
