krock48
Need to replace the heater core, anyone know of a good place to pick up the part? Also need to get some wheels as well, where can I get some nice custom wheels in Los Angeles? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Try... http://community.ratsun.net/classifieds/category/3-datsun-parts/?sort_key=date_added&sort_order=desc ... see if anyone has one. Better to take it out and have it soldered. Do it yourself. Wheels, you meant rims? The 6 bolt Datsun truck pattern is the same as the Chev and Ford, Toyota, Mazda, Trooper, on and on.... Make DAMN sure you get the correct back spacing so the rim and tire are inside the fender lip. Don't be that guy with them sticking out 3" and asking how to lower it and not rub. It's LA surely you can find a custom shop for rims. 2 Quote Link to comment

Scgreen620
In LA anything is possible .... Good luck on finding heater cores at a junk yard ... ask Ted or seeker 1 Quote Link to comment

2wheel-lee
It's common to see 620s being parted out on LA craigslist, so check there for a heater core. But don't assume it's good. If yours is leaking, you might be better off having it repaired by a radiator shop. 1 Quote Link to comment
krock48
Thank you. I also want to lower the truck 2" is that a big deal or fairly easy? 1 Quote Link to comment
Sastis
Thank you. I also want to lower the truck 2" is that a big deal or fairly easy? yes, it's easy. Torsion bar and lowering blocks. 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
Took me 5-10min or less last night to raise my front end, was rubbing excessively. I'd say your first time lowering and re-indexing might take 30min-1hr.... if you accidentally kick one of the locking rings for the torsion bars somewhere else 1 Quote Link to comment

Ok, this guy is in la and nobody recommends bypassing the heater core? What is wrong with you people Bypass? no. Pull both hoses off and put plugs in the ends to seal them. If you bypass by joining the hoses hot water from the head is sent directly back to the engine without benefit of any cooling by the heater core or the rad. I don't know what percentage this is but you are bypassing the rad with summer heat coming. 1 Quote Link to comment

But yeah, about that time to do the job... Ok, this guy is in la and nobody recommends bypassing the heater core? What is wrong with you people We still might need to run the defroster ....once or twice a year...though my 620 heater core is not connected, either. It was that way when I got it, and I haven't checked why yet. 1 Quote Link to comment
