The stock '73 has 4 10" drum brakes that will stop it very well. BUT for this, you have to check and adjust them every three months or so to keep them optimum. Disc brakes are set and forget, simpler, easier to change pads. You would have to drive them pretty hard with a heavy load to enjoy their superior fad resistance to heat than drums.  

 

Look for BEEBANI's brake conversion kit. Mklotz might have something also using 720 spindles calipers and rotors.

The wilwood kit, although nice, is really overkill for a stockish 620.

 

Who's packing that much giddy-up to need that much whoa down?

was using it as an example. It's a 73 620 with front disk brakes and is relative to the topic.

 

And honestly not the idiot with the wilwoods that's for sure

did my Timken wheel bearing installed today...no problem with adjusting so far!15 years ago i was learning at Audi/Volkswagen service station and we adjusted the wheel bearing clearence the way that the plain washer should go smoothly through the grease :thumbup:
