Trod8812
Does anybody know how to take the back off of a bucket seat Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
This should be good. What kind of seat? Make/model? The back panel? The cushion? Upper frame? What are you trying to do? Quote Link to comment
Trod8812
Dodge neon seats, trying to take the back panel off to clean the. Quote Link to comment
NoMoneyZ
So you're posting on a Datstun forum asking about Dodge Neon seats? Makes sense. To answer your question, I have no clue. Quote Link to comment
Trod8812
I am putting the seats in my 620 Quote Link to comment
Trod8812
Not much of an answer to my question Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
For more hits shouldve been in general discussion Give us some pictures to grok and might come up with an answer. Specifically im guessing underside of the seat after you remove the rails. I'm guessing the hinges are hidden. Should be as easy as a couple bolts, could be as hard as a piano hinge you have to slide the rods out of Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
Just got some buckets from the junk yard just have to clean them up. Look closely at where the seatbelt attaches, i see a big bolt and the plastic cover on outboard sides probably hide the other bolt/nut combo Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
Gonna be a little more difficult since theyre reclining. Mark the gears so you can line them back up when done. Take pictures as you go so you know how you took them apart and where everything goes 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
There should be screws on the bottom of where it hinges. Look there. Take out fasteners then pull like a 12 year old who snuck his mom's Victoria's Secret catalog from the mail box. 4 Quote Link to comment

Trod8812
I thought it was the block of metal at the end of the teeth of the gear, but that did not work Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
Man I wish I used that on the 30 noobie posts I've replied to before... Every time I go to reach for my phone from my pocket, I seem to find an extra spoon or two. My hope would be this...spoon-fed participant uses the information he is handed to accomplish said task. Since he spent absolutely zero time searching reference he uses the spare energy to document his results and success with the rest of us...*wink, wink* I never go past a page or two when looking for reference. Never spend more than a whole 30 seconds to find an answer. Maybe subjects you research, a single hit may not be the correct answer, but you are learning about what you should be asking/looking for.
