jalexquijano
My 1972 240z with dual SU CARBS is still encountering rpm falling and shutting down while on traffic after while. I am thinking of placing some heat shield extensions under both carbs fuel bowls to dissipate some heat. I also measured the fuel PSI pushed by an Airtex 8012s electric fuel pump and it measures 4.3 to 4.5 psi. Should i also consider on regulating it to at least 4 psi and using 91 octane fuel instead of 95 octane gasoline? I read KING GLASS FUEL FILTER and REGULATOR combo is recomendable. Any way to tackle this annoying problem quick??? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
http://community.ratsun.net/topic/68156-rough-idle-rpm-drop-and-stalling-at-intersections/page-3 Many suggestions were made and not followed. Remove the hood or securely prop it open 6" to let the hot air out and drive around. If problem is still there then we move on. If it goes away we know for sure it's under hood heat. 2 Quote Link to comment

KoHeartsGPA
Heat shield and wrapping your fuel lines with that heatshield stuff would go long way :) 1 Quote Link to comment
