Michael Rankin
OK, I got lots of help for installing aluminum brake drums, now I want to install new rear wheel bearings. Since you guys have done this before, what do I need to do to remove the hubs to get at the bearings ? I have all the brake parts off, backing plate is loose, what's mext ? thanks Michael Quote Link to comment

Draker
You first start by rounding up all your favorite swear words. Then put them somewhere where they are easy to access. You'll need them. 4 Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
I would have installed the wheel bearings before the aluminum drums. More efficient. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Step one, remove entire control arms from vehicle. Quote Link to comment
demo243
Grab a case of beer, all those swear words mentioned above, a really long pipe to extend your breaker bar and a big socket (i think 27mm)…, a bearing press, a dremel and get ready for some fun. Can be done on the car, might be easier with the arms off. There are a few write ups around. Don't mess up the threads on the stub axles when your trimming the lock nut. And the torque spec is the higher one… ~200 ft/lbs or something like that. Quote Link to comment
