City Hunter
I'm debating what will be more effective. Brake or carb to spray into the line and start letting it disolve the nastiness that has clogged it up. I'm thinking brake clean may do a better job. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Check the ingredients, they seem to work the same. What about injector cleaner? it dissolves gas deposits. Quote Link to comment
racerx
Tell you what call places that rebuilds carbs and asked them which is better. Or you can go on line and see what the chem. make up is for both solvents. I pretty sure brake cleaner will work but you want to make sure. Quote Link to comment

bonvo
i would think that carb clean would be the better idea (ment to deal with fuel and burns like fuel) and there is no better carb clean then berrymans chemtool this stuff is the ultimate it works so much better then any other things ive used please note: i have no affiliation with berrymans i just like ther product and have had the best results with it Quote Link to comment

City Hunter
well time to go see how the carb clean did on the line. Seems like the plug is right up front at the elbow so I may get lucky with some wire if the carb clean hasnt ate through it yet. Quote Link to comment
bonvo
my cut is however much i spend on the stuff (which is a small fortune:D) but seriously the only reason i say chemtool is because its the only stuff ive used that does the job Quote Link to comment

City Hunter
yeah thats what I bought. Ended up not working, I had to go buy a roll of ty wire. Did a little roto rooting and unclogged some rust nastiness in them, didnt realize I blew the line out when I was messing witht he air on the tank end of the line, went to the front of the car, and I had bukkaki'd the entire front of the car with rusty gas nastiness lmao. Ran a can of that berryman through the line both ways with some air and she seems to be clog free now :) Gonna go pressure wash the tank out and get her back o teh road tomorrow hopefully.
