Williamdllr
Alright so I got a new job so I have extra cash laying around now. I want to replace all my vacuum lines under the hood and was wondering what sizes of lines do I need? And the lengths of each line? I have a 1985 nissan 720 with the 2.4 Quote Link to comment
Justin Berni
I don't know what size, but you could always just pull one hose off and take it to the auto store and ask for a bunch of that size 2 Quote Link to comment
720inOlyWa
That’s what I did. Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
I do not remember the sizes but I bought 10 feet of one size and ran short. My truck has California emissions. Has more vacuum line than the Federal trucks. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If your original lines have small color paint marks on them then they have small metered restrictions inside. I would only replace missing or obviously damaged or cracked lines. Quote Link to comment
trjerm
Do you know which lines had restrictions in them? Mine have All been changed out and there aren't any with " small color paint marks " on them. Seems to run fine, but it'd be nice to see if it runs even better w/ the metered restrictions in place Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
..... no. Quote Link to comment
xsdg
If you don't have them, you're probably not going to find replacements, except out of a junkyard. But I have them one both of the carb base lines (for the EGR and vacuum advance), plus one one of the lines coming out of the TVV or the vacuum switch. I don't remember offhand, but the FSM has 'em. There's a single page that shows the EGR and advance vacuum routing, and that page shows the three logical (not physical) locations where they belong. There's a lot of branching under the actual hood that's not documented in the FSM, so YMMV :o) Quote Link to comment
