p411
So I am wondering if anyone knows I currently have this cap on my 411 Can I simply install this one (below)? Reason I want this one (below) is because they are easy to find and easy to get wire sets for. Thanks in advance!! Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Yes. Thats the "original" Hitachi type cap. Do you have a compatible sparkloom set? A 510 set will work if you're careful. Quote Link to comment

p411
Okay, if anyone cares here is what I found. I ordered 1 1972 1200 Cap, Rotor and wires. I also ordered a 1967 upright style Datsun 411 cap. When I got them I compared them to each other and they looked identical. So I popped them on turned the key and IT fired right up. I also later added a pertronix ignition #1741 and a Flamethrower coil # 40511. . . . This is my original 66 411 Rotor This is the 72 1200 Rotor it even has the same #"s as my 411"s The finished product 1 Quote Link to comment

Datsun Dude
Looks great, and good to know it works great too. Quote Link to comment
pl521sss
About the cap and rotor. Looks like the 510 also works. At least the cap seems to be the same dimensions. I will post pic of it once I complete the setup for EI. Pertronix with Nissan Coil The same setup I have for all of my Datsuns and it works. Quote Link to comment

Thanks for sharing your finds. Never toss an original part. Engine blocks perhaps excepted. Quote Link to comment
