Yes, people used to dress to the nines when traveling by air [and cross continent rail]. Now you are lucky if they are wearing pajamas and flip flops. Lets not go in to the screaming brats running up and down the aisle on the red eye flights !!!!! Yes, but I'm happy that I no longer have to wear a monkey suit to be allowed in first class. There should be some standards though, employees have to dress reasonable to fly, but customers can look like homeless, they should have to be in cargo! 1 1 Quote Link to comment

seattle smitty
Avro Tudor, I think. Post-war offshoot of the Lancaster bomber and its immediate civilian spin-off, the Avro Lancastrian. Is the car an Austin Bantom? Anyway, when the Brits had moved on from the tail-dragger Tudors, I think they ended up with some African and other 3rd-World airlines, Air Libya being one. I sure hope at least one has been restored for occasional air-show flights. I believe they used the -620/622/624 series of the Rolls "Merlin" engines, same as the Canadair 4 (basically a Douglas DC-4 with Rolls V-12s).
