Datsun620longbed
Can anyone give me an estimate on price to swap my front drum brakes to disc on my 620? I've had no luck finding the info on my own. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Took 8 seconds using our search engine on Ratsun Type in "Disc brakes on 620"... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/20432-disc-brake-installed-on-a-drum-brake-truck/ (took longer to print this post) The list is endless. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/11459-disc-brake-kits-521520320620/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/49081-help-with-this-disc-brake-set-up-on-a-620/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/18057-320-520-521-620-disc-brake-brackets-on-ebay/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/47538-upgrading-master-cylinder-to-handle-full-disc-brake-conversion-frontrear/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/25692-620-front-disc-brake-conversion-set/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/10169-73-620-disc-brake-swap/ Assume having someone look this up you, you will be having someone put them on for you too? Ask around for mechanic's rate. Private message some of the people in these posts and ask how long it took to do and multiply times the rate. Include the price of new caliper and rotor parts. I think that's the way to go.. I did the Beebani Upper control arms on late model '78-'79 discs so that I could keep my 14" wheels. This gets you discs and ball joint suspension while retaing the 14" stock wheels. I haven't been super happy with it (yet) and it was quite a bit more expensive than the kit listed above.. The only bonus is that I'll be able to use D21 drop spindles now that I'm converted to ball joint up front when I'm ready for bigger brakes and bigger wheels. Quote Link to comment
