wayno
It's so pretty. I got to say though, is this a crack it the head, it's big enough to be scary looking. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
It's just a casting line. Quote Link to comment
wayno
You have to admit that it looks like a crack in that photo. Are you putting it back together, or did the engine burn oil before the head was pulled? Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I put the cam assembly together tonight. It only burned a little oil on start up which actually got better in the last year. Kinda weird maybe I started using thicker oil. When I took the head off I noticed it was on cam number one and I had some slack but my v notch was ok. I'm wondering now with the resurfacing if I should put it on number two. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I got the head back on and most everything hooked up. Tomorrow after work I'll try to fire it up. Quote Link to comment

dat521gatherer
I've been driving it around to and from work and it's back to it's old self. :) Now I need to fix these damn rear lights again. I fixed them the other day and noticed the ground wire on the side of the sockets are not soldered. They're just smashed in there between the outer plastic housing and the socket. I should have bought those new ones I seen on ebay recently for $80 a set. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I just put some leds in my cluster to brighten it up. It made a big difference and I kept the stock look. The small write up I did.http://community.ratsun.net/topic/60622-how-to-brighten-your-521-green-gauge-lights-with-leds/ Quote Link to comment

DanielC
How does this side of red bed look? This is the right front side of Ratsun's bed. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
It was the cleanest rust free bed I had. Quote Link to comment
