Datsun Plaques and custom signs

Recommended Posts

Trying to judge to see if there is any interest in me bringing some datsun plaques to Canby.

They can be made in different colors and like the ones attached or just line art or even saying RATSUN if site administrators do not mind.

The size is about 8x10 and I think they would sell for about $10.00 each. Your name could be put on them, car model, etc.

Let me know if any interest

Have only carved in blue so far. Have black, red, silver, grey, could do whatever color you want. I would just need to buy the spray paint. They are made of MDF to keep cost down but could do in other material if needed but cost would be higher.

I am working on the line art to do up a 411 picture. Will then work on a 510 line art.

Have the art done to do RATSUN instead of Datsun if site admins give the blessing.

Here is 3 different style carvings.1 blue outline,

grey one has ciscles bottomed at 1/4 inch and goes flat

other blue one the circles are carved at angles (kind of looks like a piston)

I can do multi color but it will require hand painting or masking then spay and would raise the price. I will try one as an example. And post when done.

First I will need to cut and router some more blanks

Process currently is

cut to size

router,

paint ( they are sprayed with almost a full can of paint, the edges are like sponges and soak the paint in so they are hit very heavy)

wait to dry and sand any paint blobs off bottom

Carve to the pattern.

If I add multi color I am guessing I would need to charge about $15 each. Will not know until I complete one

Remember there is always the option of carved with no painting and I could do those for about $5

If you brought 2 un-painted ones you would be assured of selling them.    I am cool with first come first served so if someone gets to you with cash before me or my son can find you ,,, i'm ok with it , cuz you don't wanna be stuck with a zillion of them,,,,, BUT . You won't be stuck with at least two of them if you still have them. Or even one if that is all that's left.

That is worded weird but , i think you get what i'm saying.

:)

Here are some more carvings. A custom one for Ratdat3. A colored one for ranman72 to see and a couple ratsun versions. The Ratsun one unpainted I call bottomed Will have to be $7.50 as it took a fair amount of time to carve out. It is very cool though.

If someone can help to get the pictures on here that would be great. I can t seem to get the tablet  to get it correct.
