Just Joel
Looking for a first truck for my youngest brother and came across a 83' 720 that was described as being a "wind rider" series. The current owner considers this a rare feature and attributes additional value to the name but I can't find anything on the intrawebs about it. Is this truly something special or just a matching motif to some motor home from the eighties? Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Here are the markings that identify it as such... 1 Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
ive never heard of that...... not saying i know it all but normally those are additions made by a dealership not that factory 1 Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Also, what should one pay for a nice straight 720 4x4 that's not currently running (at least not well, I suspect the carb) assuming the "wind rider" bs is just that ;) Quote Link to comment

Tristin
Never heard of that being an official package... I love the vinyl work though, Id rock it. Always been a fan of the weird graphics packages of the day. Edit: Can the owner name any optional equipment this "Wind Rider" has that other do not? If he cant name anything other than some stickers, Id tell him to stuff the extra cash. 2 Quote Link to comment

Just Joel
And not paying extra regardless ;) just checking to see if this was actually something cool... Going back tonight to diagnose the motor/carb problem. Quote Link to comment
Huntin720
Looks like something aftermarket that would have been added by someone selling sailboards in the columbia gorge in the 80's. Where is this truck? If it's Hood River I can almost promise you the decals were added by an owner. Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
prolly sold on the coastal regions and came with a wind surfing board either dealership spoof or like huntin 720 said ...... some gorgers graphics package to swoon the ladys at riverside 1 Quote Link to comment
