docaam
As I joined recently so thought about sharing my on going project as well, will copy some initial posts of work done so far. Below few posts are copied from other forum where I posted the progress. Bough tthe car in Sep 2013 and it reached Dubai end of Oct 2013 The details what I have heard when bought were:Its a 1972 2000GT Sedan Kouki ModelEngine seems to be modified L20 with triple carbs, headers not sure what else is there but sounds and drives fineAC is there seems to be stock offered by factoryCoilovers& Power steering.Hayashi wheelsPost below from 30th Oct Skyline reached here got it cleared and straight to the workshop, thought would be able to register it but i guess need some bodywork as some panels have rust spots Some positive points car body is straight and seems like been modified in the past, painted black from outside inside is original Gun Metal colour, floors, engine bay and trunk area is in good condition, most of the exterior parts are intact and good to reuse, aftermarket fender mirrors, Interior is pretty decent with moonface mats , GTR speedometer, all switches and panels in good condition, 5speed upgraded transmission, engine is the best thing so far havent started as needs new battery, but its upgraded with headers and exhaust along with triple carbs, power steering and AC. Not sure if its stock L20 or been replaced to L24/28/30 need to check that so far so goodTook some mobile cam pics, of the bodyInterior picsEnginebaySome rusty partsWill take some detail pictures in coming daysPlan is to get the body done first and then......... 4 Quote Link to comment
docaam
Post from 11th November Started the body work opening up panels and counting rust panels, rust is there but then I guess not that bad happy with overall condition of the car. Plan is to fix the rust panels then strip the whole car and spray it, while arranging some usual parts from Japan. Car will have a front lip and still deciding about cutting the fenders with a rear spoiler more inclined towards a bit aggressive look.Below are as per sunday they managed to start quick two doors already done with new panels 1 Quote Link to comment

docaam
Post from 7th Jan Suspension work is all done, coil over experiment worked and came out great, rest testing that will be after engine is in and check the spring load. The struts were cut and piece with billet steel made to be welded and have a thread on top, then a sleeve to go on the billet part from lower end and will take the coilover from top, gives height adjustment as well. Here all partsCutting the strutsWelding it For top custom plate with same holes as stock upper mount from outside but inside same as stock coils so was replaced. So final outcome from this beforeto THISFor rear just installed the suby ones as is, will get it painted once cars gets paint as needed to move the car now, there will be two springs one on the coils and other stock one which came cut from Japan. 2 Quote Link to comment

Son_of_a_Datsun_Guy
The level of jealousy and do-want that will be experienced by this site will soon go through the roof. Awesome Skyline, excited to see where it goes, especially since you obviously know what you're doing. 1 Quote Link to comment
