Well i'm new around here and been learning my way around the site, and how to get pretty much get in the mix of everything.

So where do i start i'm a guy out if Alamogordo New Mexico with a 79 620 KC that has a L20B engine in it that i picked up off my grandfathers land.

I pull the engine out along with the transmission and started trying to tear down the engine, So far managed to remove just about everything from the intake exhaust manifolds etc but when i tried to remove the crank pulley bolt I snapped the camshaft dowel...

So what i'm asking is there a way to remove the bolt without the camshaft dowel intact???

I appreciate any of the help or advice if given

I kinda screwed myself and took the camshaft timing gear off and bastard is giving me a hard time to put it back on. But i gave it shot to block the flywheel and no luck man, prob have to block it with something better. If not just gonna borrow a compressor and use a air gun.

Do you have a manual? Might be a good ides. I think the chain tensioner just fell out and this is why you can't get the sprocket back on. You're taking it all apart anyway but if it was in the vehicle, you would have given yourself another half days work to fix this.
