GORILLARILLA21` Posted January 1, 2014 Report Share Posted January 1, 2014 This is my first datsun I have ever owned. I had a subaru I took the engine out, and that's where I got hooked on cars. I had a few turbo cars, but never did the work on them and I found myself selling off cars right and left since they meant nothing to me. While I was at a car meet a few years back, I saw my first 510 in person and had to have one. It took 2 years to find the right one. I drove it for about 2-3 months before I tore the engine out. I regret taking it out so early since I could have just done the suspension and enjoyed the car a little longer but hey, it's like a high schooler having sex. So as of now, it's under the knife. My plans are a sr20det swap. I first started out with a ka24de. I tore it apart since I bought it with a blown head gasket, but it wasn't good enough. So, I decided to sell it and buy a semi built sr20. I'm a college student working 90 hours a week and it's hard for me to do this in a garage with limited space, but I'm fortunate enough to have it in a garage.. Ok enough talk since I know you ratsunners love pics :P This is the first fill up when I bought it down in Oregon! I had to drive it back to Olympia and let me tell you, I had to jump up out of the seat a few times over some "steep" hills to reduce some weight so this baby could chug on over! This is when I decided the 90hp wasn't enough haha :) Quote Link to comment

Rear coils with cv conversion (cv's still need to be installed) got the ol crossmember flipped dirtyyyyyy why what a nice little surprise :) r160 LSD maxima front. Were supposed to be 280zx... Long story.. Ha possibly a shift knob... I got excited haha. Have to represent! moar lowwwww neighbors hate me for this :O little painting to make things look better.. Quote Link to comment

Fml got her back home safe! supposedly a "custom 510 manifold"... I'm glad it fits at least.. Well, I hope with the t3/t4 to t25 adapter... before you post a single thing, he never drove or got it tuned with that ugly filter that starts with an F... (Even though it's orange :D ) L jet babbbbyyyyyyyy! I might cut the strut shorter and run mr2 inserts... I'll decide once the engine is all in and see if my fenders will allow.. Trial and error, right? wiring harness from wiring specialities. Very clean. They did great work. after I had some buddies over (one being a drifter) we tried to put the entire engine and tranny in. I didn't make the tunnel bigger since I didn't know exactly where I would run into problems. It had a 280 5 speed hooked up to the l16 so I wasn't sure if he did that. Turns out he didn't. And turns out I never want a "drifter" to work on my car when he say "just cut the core support out and screw it back in...." To me that wasn't an option. The core support is already weak enough, no need to make things worse. So the next night I finally got the engine in for a little mock up!
