35720man Posted October 24, 2013 Report Share Posted October 24, 2013 Hey guys new to page I drive a 85 nissan 720 4x4 6 inch lift torqtion in front block in back running 35 nitto mud graps my tires are leaning real bad and I don't know how to fix it without turning down the bars any help guys pics to come Quote Link to comment
dr.feltersnatch Posted October 24, 2013 Report Share Posted October 24, 2013 Well that's kind of how it works. Your wheels pivot when raised or lowered. when you lower it they tuck in at the top. When you raise it they poke out at the top. Stick your arm straight out, imagine your hand is your wheel. Now raising your arm would be like lowering your truck. See what happens to your hand? Now lower your arm and it would be like raising your truck. Same thing is happening. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted October 24, 2013 Report Share Posted October 24, 2013 The tire tops lean inward at the top when the torsion bars are turned up to raise the body, not out. Shims have to be removed (not that there are many to begin with) to allow the upper control arm to move outward. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted October 28, 2013 Report Share Posted October 28, 2013 Don't some guys take the uppers off and flip upside down? Have to remove and flip the ball joint too. Again you may have to exchange left to right sides to maintain your caster setting. Quote Link to comment
