EricJB
Hey Spokanite's ( or is it Spokanians ?) I'm headed your way this weekend and we are staying at the Holiday inn near Spokane county raceway. Need to know where to eat, hang out and such. Good steakhouse, brewhouse ? Anything in walking distance? Anything helps. I got the call last week to be part of the Pacific raceway team for the Div. 6 bracket finals. Fully prepared to get my ass handed to me, but maybe I can go a couple rounds. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
So your racing your truck then? Looks like you might have got both wheels off the ground, a Datsun truck doing a wheelie, who would have thought it possible with a 4 cylinder. Quote Link to comment

EricJB
Been humming that tune all week. Yes, taking the truck. Don't know if that classifies as a wheelie, but the steering isn't worth a shit. Never been to Spokayne before. Don't want to eat at a shithole with a nice place down the street. Need some help. wayno
One wheel is off the ground barely, don't know if the other was in the air, as it's a snap shot in time, maybe a moment before or after that photo both wheels were off the ground. Still that is an amazing photo, because one wheel is off the ground, and it is a datsun with a 4 cylinder engine, and I don't believe you were trying to lift the front, meaning that was not the goal. :) Quote Link to comment
LenRobertson
To help get you in a Spokane mood: I've never eaten at either of these places (Taco Time is more my speed), but both have been recommended: http://www.northernquest.com/experience/dining/rivers-edge-buffet This is the casino right down the road from the Raceway. http://rustymoosespokane.com/ On Highway 2 a short drive from the raceway. I'm not sure of the location of your motel, but suspect you will go past the Moose to get to the Raceway. While you are over here, go look at this and buy it: http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/3981046469.html so it isn't showing up on CL all the time. Len Quote Link to comment
HRH
Sweeet! What day and time are you racing? I'm off in Coeur d'Alene on Saturday for the hydroplane races, but I'll be around on Sat night/Sun. Airway Heights has a few good places. Tres Fiestas or La Presa is pretty good Mexican food. The Rusty Moose is more of a bbq/ bar/grill kind of place, it's down closer to Spokane on Highway 2, but only a hop skip and a jump from the track. It's on Flint Road. Other than that, Airway Heights isn't the place to hang out. It's known as Welfare Heights for a reason. Fortunately the racetrack is there. The casino, meh. I fing hate casinos. But if that's your thing, they have lots of food too. Quote Link to comment
